More garlic, les(s) escargot by BrendanR85 More garlic, les(s) escargot by BrendanR85
While away at a Cub Scout leaders' conference camp in Morisset (about 90 minutes' drive north of Sydney), one of the activities included lessons about France - particularly how to eat snails.

And the taste of what we had - it was clearly a case of more garlic and less snail :)

(March 2012)

P.S. Snail doesn't taste as bad as you might think!

EDIT: Just changed the title to make it make more sense :)

I am going to be honest. That might be the nicest snail set up I've seen (I don't see many), but I still don't think I can eat it. What do you do, slurp out the middle?

Well, you can do either that or use a toothpick.

I was told there wasn't really that much of a taste of snail (more like some squid or other seafood), but I think the over-use of garlic in this case didn't make much of a difference anyway :)

Alright, thank you. :) I've always wondered how you ate a snail. Now that i have this knowledge tucked away in my head, someday I might just have to use it. ;)
